GIBRALTAR will be the centre of the literary world this November as more than 60 world-class guests descend on the Rock for the second edition of the Gibraltar International Literary Festival.
Writers, historians, broadcasters and entertainers will treat Gibraltar to a three-day literary smorgasbord of talks, lectures, music and food.
Among the myriad of this year’s speakers are British actress Maureen Lipman, international bestselling author Kate Mosse, and Booker Prize winner Ben Okri. Other highlights include a talk and performance by ex-Marillion singer Steve Hogarth, a lecture by renowned philosopher AC Grayling, and a talk by comedian and broadcaster Nicholas Parsons.
“We have a new theme of ‘music and words’ this year which will see some top musical talent coming to Gibraltar for the three days of the festival,” said Sally Dunsmore, festival director. “As last year, food is a central feature of the festival, with talks and meals by Madhur Jaffrey, Claudia Roden and Katie and Giancarlo Caldesi.”
The festival, an “exciting three days of food for the mind, the soul and the body”, will take place on November 14, 15 and 16 at various venues around Gibraltar. For more information and tickets see www.gibraltarliteraryfestival.com
