YOUNGSTERS caught carrying out acts of graffiti have been drafted in to help clean it up in Orihuela.
Nine young people aged from 17 to 23 have been cleaning graffiti from walls around the city, joining the town hall’s street cleaning team and under the supervision of the local police.
Some of the offenders, caught on CCTV or through social media sites, had been responsible for more than 100 acts of graffiti in the city.
A graffiti database has been set up to make it easier to identify tags used across Alicante province.
