All for a fistful of coins

A GROUP of delinquents caused havoc and €6,000 worth of damage in Malaga City after stealing a car and using it to break into a chemist’s shop for a handful of Euros.

After stealing a Mercedes from near the Carlos Haya hospital, which police suspect they chose because it had a tow-bar, the group used it to smash the reinforced glass windows of a nearby chemist’s and steal the till.

Local residents called the police after hearing the racket, and a chase began which ended with the stolen car crashing into a tree and the delinquents escaping on foot carrying the stolen till.
