Its Here! Screaming engines, lightning fast pit stops, the 2015 F1 season starts this weekend at the Australian Grand Prix.
Hamilton and Rosberg are looking set for sizzling grid positions on Sunday, as the Mercedes team dominate the practice sessions on Friday. Nico Rosberg managed to just pip teammate Lewis Hamilton to set the fastest pace in Friday practice by just 0.1 second over Hamilton, who was 0.715secs clear of the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel in third.
However the future doesn’t look quite as bright for the other teams, as McLaren’s Jenson Button was 12th, and nearly four seconds off the pace. While his teammate Kevin Magnussen found himself in deep water after crashing early in the session and wrecking his front suspension.
With Daniel Ricciardo’s Red Bull needing an engine change and the Mercedes of Felipe Massa suffering with water problems, it looks like Melbourne could be the start of a great year for Toto Wolff and the AMG team.
