40 children took part in a fishing contest in Moraira
AROUND 40 children aged between five and 12 took part in a supervised fishing contest on Saturday May 16 in Moraira. The rules were made clear from the start – single hook fishing only with regulated bait and each catch had to be weighed before being carefully returned to the water. The event began at 5pm with the delivery of equipment and bait, followed by an hour’s fishing and snacks and refreshments served at 6pm.The Marina Yacht Service in Moraira contributed to the event and the fun was carefully overseen by the manager and owner of the Marina Yacht Service Dr Francisco, Cabrera Sellés, Manager of the Yacht Club and Antonio Boronat, father of one of the participants in the event. At the end of the evening the kids posed proudly with their trophies, most of them eager to try fishing again as soon as possible.
