Ertzaina police officer shoots and kills Motril lorry driver

THE Foral Police Force in Navarra has arrested an Ertzaina officer after allegedly shooting and killing a lorry driver from Motril in Leitza (Navarra).
The victim is Jesus Madrigal Burgos, a 39-year-old married man who lived in Motril (Granada).
The events took place yesterday (June 4) on the A-15 motorway to San Sebastian.
Police reported that the alleged killer, a resident from Pamplona, was headed to work at the Oria (Gipuzkoa) police station in his private vehicle when he got involved in a fight with the victim for reasons still unknown. He got out of the car and shot the lorry driver several times on his head, according to the police.
The government of Navarra explained in a statement that the Science and legal Police Departments are currently investigating the circumstances of the event.
Motril Council has issued a statement to express their most sincere condolences to the family.
