Violent son jailed for three years

THE Almeria Court has sentenced a 54-year-old man from Granada to three years in prison for attacking his 88-year-old mother.
The sentence has taken into account another two convictions, from 2008 and 2011, for the same crime.
The most recent events took place on December of 2014, when the man beat his mother in the face and other parts of the body, as well as hitting her face against the floor.
He will also have to pay a €6,000 civil responsibility fine for the injuries caused to the victim. A 200-metre restraining order has also been issued against him for a period of six years.
