MONTGO Golf Society played their second bogey competition of the year at Oliva Nova on Friday June 12, sponsored by Ros and Jimmy Fletcher.Bogey competitions are played against the par of the course with net scores on each hole deciding whether the player has beaten the hole, halved the hole or lost it!The winner on the day was Brian Redfearn (12.2) with a great score of plus five made up of seven won holes, nine halved and only two lost.In second place just one shot back was Carla Chaszczewski from her 21.5 handicap, also having won seven holes but lost three.Third and fourth places were decided on handicap with third going to Shaun O’Gorman (5.7) and fourth to Simon Fox (14.0), both of them scoring plus three.The society’s next game is at Oliva Nova on Friday June 26, for a Medal Competition sponsored by Brian Redfearn with a first tee at 8:56am.
