MOTRIL’S new bus station will be finished by December.
Delegates from the regional government in Granada visited the area this week and confirmed that the works were currently 70 per cent complete.
The concrete structure and metallic ceiling are already in place and only the indoor facilities remain to be installed.
The new station, which has had a total budget of €1.7 million, will have with a 600-square-metre main building, which will include a canteen.
“It is expected that the new station will benefit a total population of 60,279 people,” said a government representative.
A total of 12 indoor bus platforms and two exterior ones which connect with long-distance buses are expected to help revitalise the urban area and facilitate residents’ communications.
