A FAMOUS Almerian shoe designer is to open a branch of the long-established Madrid-based Superior Fashion and Business School (ESME) in Almeria on February 11.
Patricia Rosales has been an incredibly successful shoe designer, at one time reputed to regularly produce the most expensive shoes in the world, set up ESME in 2004 when she was just 23. At the time it was the first school of its kind in Spain, where students could learn about both fashion and business.
Now, recalling her birthplace at the age of 35, she has decided to open a branch of the school in Almerial which will teach all areas of fashion design, including wedding gowns and accompaniments, handbags and accessories, creation of fashion brands, and equally importantly how to manage a fashion business. In her opinion, too many designers can produce a great looking product, but fail to make any money from it.
