Inca man arrested on drug charges

MARIHUANA: Plants were dried and prepared for distribution in the country house.

A MAN has been arrested for having 14 kilos of marihuana in an uninhabited country house in a rural area of Inca.

The man was detained by the Guardia Civil for a crime against public health during their drug trafficking crack down. On March 8, officers searched the man’s home, where they confiscated a total of 284 marihuana plants as well as cultivating tools, extractors and water pumps.

In a statement, the police said that the detainee is also charged with the crime of theft since he had an illegal connection to the electricity grid.  

The Guardia Civil accompanied by Local Police also searched an uninhabited house in the countryside where the suspect dried and treated the marihuana plants to prepare them for distribution.  They seized a total of 14 kilos of the plants.
