VARIOUS towns along the Costa del Sol suffered a cut to the electric supply this morning (March 21). Up to nine municipalities were affected by the power cut, including Alhaurin el Grande, Benahavis, Estepona, Fuengirola, Mijas, and Marbella.
In Marbella specifically, the cuts also affected the phone network in the central areas of San Pedro de Alcantara and Puerto Banus. Meanwhile in Fuengirola, the cuts affected good portions of the city.
Starting at around 9.45 am, Emergency Services began to receive phone calls from concerned residents. Within an hour or so, the power was back up and running, and people were able to get back to their daily activities by 11am.
