TAPAS ROUTE: Locally produced ingredients will be used.
THIS year, the 5th edition of the Velez-Malaga Tapas Route has more participants than ever, with 26 establishments offering up their gastronomic delights.
Velez Commerce Councillor Ana Campos said that the increased interest in the event is a reflection of the success and acceptance that it has gained among members of the community over the last several years.
As before, locally produced ingredients will be used but as a new addition this year, seven establishments are offering gluten free dishes for those who suffer from this intolerance. Every business will have a card or ‘tapaporte’ available which will be given to participants. This card will then be stamped and entered into a draw on April 22 to win a voucher which can be spent in the restaurants.
The Tapas Route will take place between April 1 to 17 between 1pm and 4pm and 8pm and 11pm.
