JUAN JOSE PADILLA, the notorious Jerez bullfighter who famously lost an eye in 2011 after being gored by a bull in Zaragoza, has been involved in another dramatic incident after being trampled by a huge 635kg animal in Madrid.
The matador was picked up by the charging beast during an event at Las Ventas bullring before being hurled to the floor, performing a somersault as he did so.
The bull then tried to gore his legs but the man dubbed ‘The Pirate’, because of the eyepatch he now wears, miraculously escaped unharmed as others stepped in to distract it.
