SPAIN maintained its sterling record in capturing dangerous jihadi suspects with the arrests of four men accused of helping orchestrate a smuggling operation bringing terrorists from the Middle-East to Europe.
Police suspect that they had been in communication with two men arrested in Austria following the barbaric Paris terrorist attacks in November last year that killed 130 people.
The identities of the men arrested in the dawn raid on locations in Andalucia and Galicia on Monday morning have not yet been revealed but they are believed to be Algerian and Moroccan nationals with deep links to Daesh in Syria.
Spain has played a pivotal role in apprehending terrorist suspects this year, with 168 arrests for radical Islamist activity
