Man badly injured in paragliding mishap

A GERMAN man was badly injured when he was involved in a paragliding acccident near Almuñecar-La Herradura.
The man, 51, was discovered on the terrace of a farmhouse in the Loma del Gato area. Emergency workers were sent to the scene to attend to the man, who had several broken limbs and spoke of strong pains in his neck and back.

Access for the ambulance proved difficult due to the state of the roads in the area, and an all-terrain vehicle was needed for part of the journey. Eventually the man was transferred to an ambulance and taken to the emergency health centre in Almuñecar to be treated for his injuries.
