AT LEAST 24 people have been arrested after fighting broke out between two sets of radical fans in Sevilla.
The small groups of fans, also known as ‘ultras’, of La Liga teams Real Betis and Sevilla clashed ahead of their teams’ match at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium this evening.
According to reports, the fight, which occurred close to the Barqueta de Sevilla bridge, was allegedly organised between the two groups on WhatsApp beforehand.
One person was left needing hospital treatment in the aftermath of the fight.
During the arrests, police reportedly seized a number of various objects including sticks, knives and axes.
All of those arrested are males between 20 and 30-years-old.
