STATE-OWNED rail company Renfe has said a new app and website improvements are part of its plans to improve services as it prepares for competition from next year.
Manel Villalante, the firm’s Strategy and Development Director, said the planned app for passengers was designed to stave off rivals.
The company wanted to avoid the fate of traditional taxis after the arrival of Uber, Villalante added.
Renfe has also tendered a deal worth €750,000 to redesign its website under its 2019 to 2023 Strategic Plan.
