Kerry Katona’s ex-husband George Kay dies at age 39 from suspected drug overdose

THE former rugby star George Kay is said to have died on Friday after a suspected drug overdose.

He was found at home and taken to hospital but doctors were unable to save him.

Kerry was reportedly told of his death yesterday and is ‘heartbroken’.

A family friend said: “No one knows yet what he overdosed on or whether it was intentional or an accident. Kerry is heartbroken, he’s DJ’s dad and she loved him once.”

George has been struggling with mental health issue and drug abuse for many years.

Kerry and George married in September 2014 after she gave birth to their daughter, Dylan-Jorge but confirmed that in October 2015 they had split for alleging he had assaulted her.
