FIREFIGHTERS were called to Benalmadena today (Saturday) to tackle a blaze which broke out near to the town’s Buddhist stupa.
Andalucia’s Plan INFOCA wildfire agency declared the blaze at around 11am. A total of 34 firefighters were sent to tackle the blaze along with three helicopters and one plane.

Plan INFOCA said the fire is now under control. Work continues to fully extinguish the blaze.
