TWO consecutive accidents in the car park of a Belgian supermarket have left one dead and two badly injured.

A 70-year-old female accompanied by her elderly brother drove into car park at the Delhaize store near Laeken at speed on Tuesday and ran over a pedestrian before crashing into a wall.

Whilst there is no current explanation of why the accidents occurred, the Belgian public prosecutor confirmed that all three were rushed to hospital with serious injuries but the driver could not be saved and has died.
