The Charity Shop of Calpe has donated over €300,000 to local charities since it was established in 2002. Readers can help to increase this sum by going along to its Christmas Event on Saturday, December 7 from 10am until 1pm. There will be a welcome glass of Bucks Fizz and stalls selling homemade cakes, savouries, crafts and Christmas gifts as well as tombola prizes, a grand raffle for a 32-inch television, Christmas hampers and many other prizes. The shop in Galerias Mar Azul – halfway up Avenida Gabriel Miro on the righthand side – will also be open to pick up a party outfit or jewellery for the festive season. Just follow the signs.
