Police are investigating after the bodies of two men were found on a boat in York.
Detectives are treating the deaths as “unexplained” following the discovery on a boat moored on the River Ouse in the city centre.
It comes after concerns had been raised for two men in their 60s who had been out of touch with their families, North Yorkshire Police said.
A force spokesman said: “Sadly, on arrival officers found the bodies of two men on board the boat.
“Fire and ambulance services both attended and the bodies have been removed.”
An investigation into the men’s deaths is under way.
The men are yet to be formally identified.
