A WONDERFUL party was organised by Almuñécar City Council last weekend to commemorate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. In collaboration with the Department of Festivities, the Residents’ Association offered residents a fun-filled celebration with attendance from Alberto García Gilarbert, Councillor for Culture and Festivities and Toñi Salinas Muñoz, the association’s President. In an atmosphere filled with joy, those that attended were able to enjoy music, performance and gastronomy as well as children’s entertainment. Music took a central theme of the event, where the party opened with a magnificent performance by Miguel Garena, a contestant on the popular Canal Sur television programme ‘Se llama copla’. Captivating sounds were then showcased by the “Primavera” musical group, setting the mood for the Christmas holidays.
