The Salon Varietes Theatre in Spain’s Fuengirola cancels its shows due to coronavirus

The Salon Varieties Theatre in Fuengirola, has made a public announcement that the theatre has decided to postpone its scheduled programme for an initial period of two weeks, due to coronavirus.

The public announcement was released today March 14th, on social media which reads as follows:

‘ANNOUNCEMENT
In light of the current situation regarding Covid-19, the theatre has decided, on social, moral and ethical grounds, to postpone its scheduled programme for an initial period of two weeks. This is in line with the latest recommendations from the Junta de Andalucia.
There is no need to cancel your existing tickets for any show. They will remain valid for the re-arranged dates to be confirmed.

Ricky Lavazza, who was to star as the main role in forthcoming Evita said: ‘I’ve looked forward to playing this role for years but I fully understand the decision, I hope all my fans are not too disappointed, we will get the show on at some stage but the most important thing is for everyone to stay safe and well.’
