THE interior of the building in El Pardo was not been damaged and there are no reported injuries after “emergency teams acted very quickly and effectively”.
The cause is still unknown, but the fire service reported that high temperatures “did not help in putting the fire out” around 1.45pm yesterday afternoon.
Ten teams of firefighters were on the scene to extinguish the flames and and prevent them from spreading to a building next door, which is made of wood.
