The long awaited return of the Groups Fair of Torrevieja U3A was held on Monday, there first major event since March. THE coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc on events up and down the country of Spain, and all over the world, so it was great that the group have finally been able to get back together. There were major concerns as to how many people would turn up due to further restrictions meaning the fair to be scaled back. Only 19 activities out of a possible 48 were on offer and the displays had to be kept to a minimum. However, despite the restrictions, the fair was well attended and attracted a steady amount of visitors to the wonderful event. Old faces and new were welcomed to the event and a wonderful time was had by all. The group managed to sign up 20 new members to the group and they will be hopeful of being able to get together more frequently. It is hoped that in the near future they may be able to add at least one more new group to complement the existing activities. Details will hopefully appear on their website, so keep looking.
