THE Diputacion provincial council and La Nucia town hall have allocated €142,788 to the self-employed and small or medium firms. Announcing this direct aid for pandemic-hit businesses, Frederik Herweijer, La Nucia’s Commerce councillor and mayor Bernabe Cano explained that applications need to be received before November 4. Local firms and the self-employed who have already received economic help via the Plan Resitir I and II programme as well as Parentesis are still eligible for these grants. The Diputacion has set aside €101,519 for individual allocations of up to €3,000 while La Nucia town hall has assigned €41,269 with maximum funding of €1,500 for applicants whose businesses or professions are linked to tourism.
