The City Council shared the allocation of this year´s funds, placing employment and local infrastructure as the key targets.
The Employment Plan is granted with €1,000,000 to ensure a reduction in unemployment and improved working conditions. To support local businesses, the Bono Comercio campaign will be promoting the advancement of sales and work efficiency, subsidised with €500,000.
The cultural sector of the town is also targeted, with a subsidy of €200,000 to promote local cultural events. The importance of local culture is further highlighted by an allocation of €200,000 for reaching full accessibility of the Social Services offices in the Music House of the Musical Union, ensuring an increased public participation.
With the rising rates of tourism, the City Council is developing a modern Tourism Office, with the funding of €700,000 to increase tourists´ experiences. Alongside these projects, the City Council is focusing on preserving the environment, ensuring security and cleanliness; aiming to make 2024 stand out with success.
