Fundraising fun comes to The Sussex Bar on Saturday May 2 with Cudeca and ACE Shin charities set to benefit from a morning of music, food, and more.
Get your alarm set early as XO Radio, the online station dedicated to the greatest hits of all time, brings its popular Saturday breakfast show out of the studio and into the community for a special live outside broadcast.
Early doors for the fundraiser for two fantastic charities
Presenter Andy Edwards, who hosts the Big Saturday Breakfast Show every week, will be live on air from The Sussex Bar in La Cala from 9am Spanish time (8am UK time), broadcasting through until midday. Doors open at 8:30am for early birds wanting to arrive before the broadcast.
The morning is more than just great music. People can enjoy a tombola, market stalls, a raffle, cake and candy, tea and coffee, and freshly made breakfast baps.
All proceeds raised on the day will be split between two incredible local charities. Cudeca Cancer Care Foundation, which provides palliative care and support to cancer patients and their families, and ACE Shin Animal Rescue, a local organisation working to protect and rehome animals in need on the Costa del Sol.
A performance from the popular Laura Elen to help raise the funds
The broadcast will also include a live musical performance from locals favourite, singer Laura Elen, who takes to the mic at 11:55am Spanish time. The Welsh entertainer has become one of the best-known live acts on the coast, and to top off the morning there will be a special interview, as seen on Channel 5’s long-running documentary series Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun.
Set your alarms and head to the Sussex to enjoy the entertainment and raise some funds.
The event is free to attend, with fundraising through ticket-based activities on the day. XO Radio can be followed on Facebook at facebook.com/wearexoradio and on Instagram at @wearexoradio.
