A major cultural event took place in San Miguel de Salinas over the weekend, as the Costa Blanca International Concert Band took to the stage during an open-air film soundtrack concert in the municipality. The performance formed part of the very first edition of the town’s Music and Theatre Festival, an event aiming to unite people in this charming Costa Blanca town with a love of entertainment, culture, film, and music.
A successful concert from talented local musicians
The performance took place on Saturday, May 2 in San Miguel de Salinas’ Plaza de la Libertad and featured a programme of famous film scores, designed to attract people of all ages and tastes in film. The admission was free, meaning residents from all over the municipality were free to take part and enjoy the beautiful and iconic songs during the concert.
One of the main draws of the evening was the open-air nature of the concert, featuring pieces from famous films that evoked strong emotion in the audience. The weather was also mild and pleasant, meaning those who attended the concert got the chance to enjoy an evening featuring a tranquil sunset and music from some of the most iconic films.
Overall, the event boasted great success, with many visitors stating they thoroughly enjoyed the show and were impressed by the band’s performance.
Theatre performances, forming a large part of the festival
In addition to the Costa Blanca International Concert Band, The Ramblas Players also took part in their own shows, taking place on both Saturday and Sunday, also as part of the Music and Theatre Festival. The actors took to the stage with a performance of There’s No Other Drama in Ratchett Hatchett, at the Santa Ana Theatre in town.
The theatre production was also a major success, with audiences laughing, engaging with the performers, and thoroughly entertained throughout both shows.
Without a doubt, future editions of the festival in the municipality will also see great success.
