Almería is preparing for one of the most anticipated cultural evenings of the year as the city’s Noche en Blanco returns on 29 May 2026. Running from 6pm until midnight, the event will bring together more than 40 activities across 12 different locations, creating a lively atmosphere filled with music, entertainment, art and gastronomy.
Designed to encourage residents and visitors to enjoy the city centre, the annual celebration also aims to support local businesses, restaurants and independent shops. Streets and public squares including Paseo de Almería, Obispo Orberá, Plaza Pablo Cazard and Plaza San Pedro will host performances, workshops and family-friendly attractions throughout the evening.
Family entertainment and street performances across Almería
One of the biggest attractions of this year’s Noche en Blanco will be the series of colourful street parades moving through the city centre. Starting from Teatro Apolo, visitors can expect themed performances featuring inflatable animals, samba drummers, pirates and live dance shows.
Paseo de Almería will become a hub of activity with a vintage children’s fair, giant wooden games, karaoke, mime artists and decorative inflatables. Local singer Mar Tiago will also perform an intimate live concert during the evening.
Families visiting Plaza Pablo Cazard can enjoy the spectacle ‘La Maldición Pirrata’, alongside bubble workshops, balloon modelling and fire-themed performances. Meanwhile, Obispo Orberá will host children’s entertainment, music activities from the Municipal School of Music and magic shows.
Sabores Almería market and local talent showcase
Food lovers will have the opportunity to visit the traditional Sabores Almería market, featuring local producers including Migas de Taberno, Turrones de Olula Castro and Aceite Almajalejo. The market will be located on Paseo de Almería near the official Sabores Almería shop.
The provincial council will also showcase local creativity with a fashion exhibition from Talento Almeriense inside the Diputación hall.
Museums, live music and late-night culture in Almería
Culture will play a central role throughout the evening. The square outside the MUREC museum will host a special puppet theatre performance, while Plaza de la Constitución will feature a tribute concert dedicated to Spanish pop group Estopa.
Several museums in the city centre, including the Museum of the Guitar, Doña Pakyta and the Centro de Interpretación Patrimonial, will remain open until midnight, allowing visitors to experience Almería’s cultural attractions in a unique night-time setting.
To make access easier, 5,000 free one-hour parking vouchers will also be available for selected city centre car parks during the event.
