Music lovers are in for a busy few weeks on Orihuela Costa, with two very different live shows promising unforgettable evenings of entertainment. Whether you’re ready to sing along to the timeless hits of ABBA or enjoy a mix of rock, indie, reggae and soul, Villamartín Plaza and Barneys Bar have summer nights covered.
Mamma Mia magic comes to Villamartín Plaza
ABBA fans are in for a treat when ABBA Elite bring The Songs From Mamma Mia! The Movie to Villamartín Plaza for an evening packed with classic hits, summer fun and singalong favourites.
The live show takes place on Tuesday, 21 July, with entertainment starting from 7:00 PM on the main Plaza stage. The evening opens with support act Javi, warming up the crowd before ABBA Elite take to the stage with a spectacular tribute to one of the world’s most successful pop groups.
Formed in 2006, ABBA Elite have built a reputation as one of Europe’s leading ABBA tribute acts. Their performances capture the sound, look and energy of the Swedish supergroup, performing timeless favourites including Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Waterloo, Super Trouper, Take a Chance on Me and many more. Their special Songs From Mamma Mia! The Movie show celebrates the music made famous by the hit musical and films, making it the perfect summer night out for fans of all ages.
Entertainment will continue until late, with visitors encouraged to arrive early to secure a good table. The many restaurants and bars around Villamartín Plaza will be serving food and drinks throughout the evening, allowing guests to enjoy dinner while watching the live performances.

Yorkshire Monkey makes his debut at Barneys Bar
Get ready for a night of live music when Yorkshire Monkey makes his debut appearance at Barneys Bar in Lomas de Cabo Roig.
The popular solo performer takes to the stage on Saturday, 18 July, with the show starting at 8:00 PM. If you’ve never seen Yorkshire Monkey before, expect an energetic evening packed with classic songs, singalong favourites and plenty of audience participation.
His set covers more than six decades of music, mixing indie anthems, classic rock, reggae, soul, swing and timeless hits from some of the world’s biggest artists. The playlist includes favourites by Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, The Stone Roses, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Lynyrd Skynyrd, R.E.M., Johnny Cash, John Denver, Bob Marley, The Specials, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, along with plenty of other crowd-pleasers.
Known for his versatile vocals and relaxed stage presence, Yorkshire Monkey keeps audiences entertained with a show that appeals to music lovers of all ages. Whether you enjoy rock classics, laid-back reggae, indie favourites or a few golden oldies, there’s something for everyone.
