From the beginning of July to the first few days of August, the historic Casa del Cable, located in Javea, has transformed into a hub of light, space, and geometrical art with the arrival of a brand new exhibition. “Glimpses into the Crack,” or Miradas en la grieta, by acclaimed artist Lola Díaz Santos, invites visitors to completely re-evaluate how they perceive the rigid world of shapes in a profound new sensory experience that will be entirely free for the public to experience.

A fresh perspective on ‘sensitive geometry’

Díaz Santos’ philosophy centres on what she calls “sensitive geometry,” in an exhibition that allows art lovers to experience shapes, not just understand them. Using materials like polished methacrylate and other special materials that play with varying transparencies, rich textures, and the delicate dance of light, this exhibition shows visitors the power of shapes and their capacity to provoke thought and feeling.

Finding deeply human emotion in cold materials

While the materials themselves might initially seem clinical or cold, the resulting environment is intensely emotional. Within the gallery, every sharp line, sudden fracture, and soft reflection serves as a striking metaphor for human vulnerability, memory, and the shared complexities of life.

“Glimpses into the Crack” will create a captivating dialogue between rigid order and natural disorder. The collection challenges not only traditional art, but also parallels the rigid structures found within contemporary life.

The vital role of light and structural chaos

One of the most important aspects of the exhibition is the light, acting as a force that reveals the hidden dimensions tucked away within geometric forms. Visitors to the Casa del Cable are encouraged to pause, slow down, and witness the magical moment where geometric balance transforms into pure human feeling.

Opening hours and visitor information

This exhibition will be open from the first days of July and until Sunday, August 2. It will be available for viewing Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 1:30pm and again from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, and on Sundays and holidays from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Art lovers, curious passers-by, and those who are looking to appreciate thought-provoking works should not miss out on the opportunity to see a new showcase by a talented local artist.
