The charming town of Altea is preparing to come alive with the sounds of its annual concert series, Música a Boqueta Nit 2026. Organised by the Department of Culture, this highly anticipated outdoor event will take place at the beautiful open-air Auditori Plaça de l’Aigua, offering an enchanting backdrop for music lovers on the Costa Blanca.
This year’s July lineup promises two highlight events, which will merge classical music with modern jazz rhythms, in order to appeal to lovers of a wide variety of music genres.
A Journey of Sound with Camerata Benidorm
Beginning in the middle of the month, on July 16, the Camerata Benidorm will take the stage with their programme, entitled A World of Music. Known for their expressive interpretations and classical precision, the ensemble will guide the audience through a diverse range of pieces, celebrating global sounds. It is an ideal performance for families and classical aficionados looking to experience orchestral music under the stars.
Jazz Mastery at the Trumpet Summit
The energy will shift for the following week on July 23 when the David Pastor Ensemble arrives for an evening of pure jazz talent. Starting at 9:00pm, this “Trumpet Summit” pairs the extraordinary talent of trumpet masters David Pastor and Jordi Albert with the renowned Smart Set Trio, featuring Javier Bermejo on piano, Andrés Lizón on double bass, and Curro García on drums. Known for their seamless chemistry and intense performance style, the trio will blend swing, hard bop, latin, and bossa nova, bringing a vibrant energy to Altea’s historic centre.
When to enjoy these two vibrant concerts in Altea
On both nights, the concerts will run from 9:00pm to 10:30pm, making for a perfect night for a romantic date or a moment to spend with family. General admission tickets are priced at €10, but early birds can grab them online for €8 through the official Altea Cultural website. Arriving early in order to catch the sunset is highly recommended.
For fans of classical and jazz music, this will be one of the must-see events of the summer on the Costa Blanca.
