Halloween fun could make a real difference to dogs waiting for a second chance, as Sotogrande prepares for a charity evening packed with music, costumes and tempting auction prizes.

Plaza Blanca will host the fundraiser for SOS Canya on Saturday, October 31, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Families, friends and animal lovers are invited to enjoy an evening supporting the rescue charity’s work.

Halloween family fun in Sotogrande

Live music, face painting, children’s games, food and drinks are on the programme announced by organisers. A raffle, silent auction and costume competition will give visitors several ways to take part.

Residents planning a Halloween outing can bring their families and dress up for the occasion, with activities suited to both younger visitors and adults.

Fundacion SOS Canya, a charitable foundation supporting dogs, is based in Los Barrios, in the Campo de Gibraltar area. Its work helps rescue dogs recover and find safe, loving homes.

Silent auction prizes bring memorable experiences

Auction lots announced by organisers include a private gig by Supernova Band, a round of golf with lunch, and a pet portrait by Jess Glover. These are just some of the amazing lots available, with winning bids helping dogs in need.

Costume competition with two special prizes

Creative costumes could earn their wearers a memorable reward. Organisers have announced two competition prizes: a paragliding flight voucher for one person in Matalascañas, Huelva, and a voucher for one hour of padel coaching with Coach Gilly.

Support for dogs beyond Halloween

SOS Canya’s work involves ongoing needs rather than a single seasonal appeal. Food, vaccinations, veterinary treatment, medication and basic care all create regular expenses for those looking after abandoned dogs.

Saturday’s event gives you a fun and sociable way to support that work, whether by placing an auction bid, entering the raffle or joining the activities. So bring friends, family and your best costumes to Plaza Blanca for the three-hour event.
