PEOPLE with medical conditions will soon be able to use their mobile phones to monitor their body. The Wireless body area network allows ones body to send status updates to ones mobile phone. Medical conditions that can be checked include heart problems as well as athletes in training.
The body is given its own IP address while a dongle that plugs into the SD card slot of a mobile phone enables the streaming of data from sensors.
The software runs on the Android operating system and uses radio wireless standard rather than Bluetooth.
