EXPLORERS GRAND SLAM twins aim to ‘inspire women everywhere’.

Tashi and Nungshi Malik from North India became the world’s youngest people to complete the Explorers Grand Slam when there were only 23 years old. The adventure saw them climb the seven highest peaks, Everest, Aconcagua, Denali, Kilimanjaro, Vinson, Puncak Jaya and Mount Elbrus. So far their stunning adventures have included some amazing climbs and the pair also skied to both the north and south poles.

Now they are focusing on planning future expeditions and inspiring women across the world. They explained that they plan to ‘embark on a few expeditions with the express purpose of inspiring girls and women everywhere, especially in our home country’.

The global coronavirus pandemic has affected many people would around the world but the young twins are looking on the bright side and even consider it a ‘blessing in disguise’ for them. They explained how the pandemic has provided them with the ‘opportunity to reflect upon our journey so far and to crystal gaze at our road map for coming years’.

The twins went on to tell the Metro how they, “have been able to do some real out of the box thinking on how we see ourselves pursuing bigger and bolder adventures as well as contributing to the impending global challenges especially around climate change and gender equality.’

Whatever their next adventure entails, it is sure to be impressive and inspire many women across the globe.
