Vigo’s reputation as the city with the highest quality of life in Spain has been surpassed, with Pamplona now taking the lead according to the latest report by the MWCC (Madrid World Capital of Architecture, Engineering, and Construction).

Previously, a study conducted by the Organisation of Consumers and Users (OCU) had identified the Spanish city with the best quality of life, considering factors such as mobility, public safety, health and educational services, cultural offerings, recreational activities, environmental conditions, job market, cost of living, real estate market, and urban cleanliness.

Analysis revelations.

However, the MWCC’s report, utilizing data from Numbeo, the world’s largest collaborative database of countries and cities, has designated Pamplona as the city with the highest quality of life in Spain. The ranking is based on six key indicators: purchasing power and cost of living, accessibility to housing, environmental quality, safety, healthcare, and transportation. Pamplona secures the top spot, with Logroño closely trailing behind in second place, followed by Oviedo, Santander, Burgos, and Valencia.

The analysis reveals Cartagena as the most economically accessible city in Spain, while Cáceres boasts the most affordable housing prices, both for purchase and rental. In terms of climate, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Ceuta, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife are recognized for their favorable conditions, while Valencia excels in transportation connectivity. Finally, Palma and Oviedo stand out for their exceptional sanitation practices, according to the rankings.

In conclusion, if you are thinking to buy a property in Spain there are key factors that you should take in consideration. But in any case, choosing to be near the sea and under the sun will increase your quality of life by 200%
