Calpe shows extra support to the young people of the municipality with €1,200 grants for rented housing.

As young people move away from their family homes and work to become financially independent, many face difficulties affording their housing. To assist them in their growth, Calpe´s Councilor for Social Welfare, Itziar Doval implemented an immediate line of aid with €1,200 support to all residents below the age 35 who live in rented apartments.

All applicants for the grant have to provide proof of their past six months´ rent and will receive the grant as soon as it is verified. The receivers of the Generalitat Valencia´s young people’s aid aren’t able to benefit from Calpe´s system and should continue receiving the benefits from Generalitat Valenciana, for the two systems are not compatible.

This measure is taken for the first time in Calpe´s history and alongside the Council’s financial allowance for young people with low income, established in 2023, paves the way to municipal progress and ensured wellbeing.
