Andrea’s Animal Rescue hosts charity excursion to Benidorm this September

Animal lovers and day-trippers alike have the chance to participate in a popular fundraising event beginning next month. Andrea’s Animal Rescue, an animal welfare charity based in the Mazarron area, has announced a charity excursion to the coastal hub of Benidorm, to take place on Sunday, September 6. The event, which will be a prime opportunity to gather with the community and other animal lovers in one of Spain’s most vibrant cities, also gives attendees the chance to donate to the gentle animals at the shelter.

Tickets will be sold for just €22 per person, with the organisers taking care of all the travel logistics so passengers can simply let go and enjoy a day in Benidorm. Charity organisers will pick up attendees at 8:00am at the Puerto de Mazarron bus station, with another 8:30am pick-up scheduled at the Camposol Sector B car park. The return journey will take off from Benidorm at 6:00pm, giving travellers a full day to experience Benidorm in all its glory and at their own pace.

Market shopping, historic sights, and beachside dining

Whether shopping, sightseeing, or simply unwinding by the famed Benidorm beaches, the itinerary is completely open. Andrea’s Animal Rescue began operations in August of 2008, beginning as a centre to care primarily for abused and abandoned donkeys. Lola and Henrietta were the first donkeys to arrive at the shelter after being rescued by the kind-hearted animal lovers.
