Almoradi is taking a step towards environmental awareness among its younger residents with a new edition of its Semana Ambiental, or Environmental Week, an initiative aimed at promoting respect and care for the natural environment among the young people of the town. The event was a major success with nearly 300 students from five schools in the municipality participating.
Nearly 300 students participate in a long-awaited programme
As part of the programme, a total of 286 students in year three of primary school visited Almoradi’s emblematic Tree of the Masons and the surrounding natural environment, fostering an atmosphere for education, curiosity, respect for nature, and environmental awareness among the children. Organised by the Rotary Club Almoradi in collaboration with the Almoradi Town Council’s Department of Education, the event reinforced the municipality’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness.
During the workshop, the children participated in educational activities revolving around the environment and ecological awareness. Each little one received an educational workbook to fill out during the day.
